On February 15, 2018 the New Jersey Alliance for Action recognized Carbro’s contribution to the Jersey City Municipal Utility Authorities East Side / West Side Generator Project, through a Leading Infrastructure Project Award.

The Project involved Construction upgrades to the East Side and West Side Pump Stations including the installation of (2) new 1500 KW generators with full enclosures and cast-in-place concrete foundations/platforms, new asphalt & concrete pavements, precast trench drain system, storm utilities & structures, water utilities, excavation & disposal of contaminated soil, removal and remediation of underground fuel storage tanks and miscellaneous site improvements and restoration work. The entire construction phase was slated to take over a year for completion.

Through the partnering efforts of the Owner, Engineer, and Carbro the project was rendered substantially complete in approximately three months, safely and under budget.
